OK. *sigh*
I must admit it’s taken me a while to post this because I’m pretty conflicted about it. Suffice to say that I really, really, really do not agree with the politics of our interviewer. But, the piece was done a year before she was attached to the show and all of the releases had been signed, so I figured it was best to go ahead and take the opportunity to promote Canine Companions for Independence (I was supposed to mention the ASPCA too, but they cut it out of the piece and I ran out of time on set. Big apologies to that awesome organization.)

That was a beautiful video and interview. As a conservative myself, let me assure you that compassion and sensitivity to the needs of others is found in people who have many different beliefs. We don’t need to agree with everyone to share our hopes, dreams and vision for a better tomorrow. I am so glad that you have had one more opportunity to share your great love with people. Give Ilia a hug and kiss for us. We just lost Kodiak, our 13 year old therapy dog last week and it has been very sad. Seeing you with Ilia brings back many great memories that we have had with our own best friend.
